Care services
PEG feeding, catheter and stoma care, epilepsy and moving-and-handling, delivered by carers trained for it.
Complex care means clinical tasks delegated to trained carers, in someone’s own home, usually over years rather than weeks. It is the part of this business we are most careful about, because getting it wrong is not a service complaint — it is a hospital admission.
Every complex package is trained on the individual, signed off by a clinician, competency-assessed, and reviewed. We do not send anyone to a task they have not been signed off for, and we will not take a package we cannot staff safely.
When it is not the right answer. We will not take a complex package we cannot staff with trained, competency-assessed carers from the start. If that means saying no, we say no rather than learning on someone.
What is included
The care plan is written with you, so this is a starting point rather than a fixed list.
Feeds, flushes, pump management and stoma site care, trained on the individual’s regime.
Routine care, bag changes and monitoring, with escalation routes agreed in advance.
Seizure recognition, recording, and rescue medication where trained and authorised.
Hoists, slings, slide sheets and transfers, to a plan written with the occupational therapist.
Where a clinician has trained and signed off the team, and never otherwise.
We work with ICB-funded packages and personal health budgets, and we can talk you through both.
A clinician trains and signs off on the specific individual’s needs. Generic training is not enough for delegated clinical tasks.
Yes, and personal health budgets. See our professionals page for referral timescales.
Yes, with the same rule — trained on the individual, signed off, and reviewed.
