True Care 247 is family run. Before it existed, we spent twenty years caring at home for our son — and learned exactly how rarely it is done properly.
Our story
We started this because we had been the family on the other side of it
Daina spent twenty-six years as a nurse — hospitals, care homes, and every kind of ward round. Bejoy ran a staffing agency in the care sector and learned how the industry works from the inside, including the parts of it that do not.
Alongside all of that, we cared at home for our son, who has complex needs. Two decades of it. We know what a good carer at the door feels like, and we know what it feels like when nobody turns up, or when the person who does has never met you before.
True Care 247 exists because we thought we could do it better than what we were offered. That is the whole reason. It is also why we would rather turn work away than take on more than we can do properly — we have been the family waiting for the visit.
The people behind it
You will speak to one of us
Not a regional manager and not a call handler. Between us we write the care plans, do the assessments, run the rota and answer the phone.
A nurse for 26 years before this — hospitals, care homes, and every kind of ward round. Daina writes the care plans and she still does assessment visits herself.
Bejoy runs the office, the recruitment and the rota. If you ring during the day, there is a fair chance he is the one who picks up.

Six things we will not trade away
Every care company has values on a page. These are ours, written as things you could hold us to rather than words you could not disagree with.
We say what we can and cannot do
Turning work down is part of running this properly. If we cannot staff something safely, or you would be better served elsewhere, we will tell you and point you somewhere else.
An hour is our minimum
Fifteen-minute calls exist because they are cheap to sell, not because they work. You cannot wash someone with dignity and hold a conversation in a quarter of an hour.
Carers are paid and treated properly
Continuity for you depends entirely on whether carers stay. That is a pay and treatment question before it is a rota question, and we treat it as one.
We do not publish prices
Not because we are hiding them — because a price quoted before we have met you is a guess. You get a written quotation after a free assessment, and no obligation.
The plan is yours
You are in the room when the care plan is written, you get a copy, and you can change it. It should describe what the person can still do, not only what they cannot.
A person answers the phone
A small office in Altrincham, not a call centre in another county. You will get to know the people who arrange your care by name.
Regulation
Registered, and not yet inspected
True Care 247 is registered with the Care Quality Commission, which means we have been checked as likely to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led. We have not had our first inspection yet.
