Who we are
True Care 247 Limited, Office 3, 197-201 Manchester Road, Altrincham, WA14 5NU. Registered in England and Wales, company number 14691299. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.
To raise anything about your data, email info@truecare247.co.uk or ring 0161 531 3233. Our ICO registration number will be published here before launch.
Website visitors
Like most website operators, we collect the non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers make available — browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each request. We collect it to understand how visitors use the site.
We do not currently run analytics, advertising pixels or session recording on this website. If we add analytics, this page will be updated first, and it will only load if you have accepted optional cookies.
Information you give us
If you use the enquiry form we collect what you type into it: your name, phone number, email address, roughly where you are, who the enquiry is for, and anything you write in the message box.
If you go on to receive care from us, we collect the information needed to provide it safely — health and care needs, medication, next of kin, and the records our carers make at each visit. This is special category data and we treat it accordingly.
You can always refuse to give us information, with the caveat that it may prevent us from arranging care.
Our lawful basis
For answering an enquiry: legitimate interests — you have asked us a question and we are answering it.
For providing care: contract, and for health information the additional condition under Article 9 covering the provision of health and social care.
For anything optional, such as analytics cookies: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
For safeguarding and regulatory reporting: legal obligation.
How long we keep it
We do not keep information longer than we need it:
- Enquiries that do not lead to care — up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Adult care records — generally 8 years after care ends, in line with health and social care record retention.
- Records relating to a child — until their 25th birthday.
- Job applications — 6 months if you are not appointed, unless you ask us to keep them on file.
Protection of your information
We disclose personal information only to those of our employees and contractors who need it in order to provide your care, and who have agreed not to disclose it to others.
We do not rent or sell personal information to anyone, and we will not add you to a marketing list because you asked us a question.
Beyond our own staff, we disclose information only where care or the law requires it — to your GP, district nurses, the local authority or ICB where they fund your care, the CQC where they require it, or in response to a court order. We take all measures reasonably necessary to protect against unauthorised access, use, alteration or destruction of that information.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We use a small number of essential cookies to make the site work, and we ask before setting anything optional. Declining is exactly as easy as accepting, and if you decline we set nothing optional at all.
You can also set your browser to refuse cookies, with the drawback that some features may not work properly.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to what we are doing with it, ask us to restrict it, or ask for it in a portable format. Ask by email or phone and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time. Any change will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you rather than rely on you noticing.

Anything here you want to ask about?
Ring the office and ask for whoever is around. We would rather explain it than have you guess.
