Modern slavery statement
True Care 247 is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our own operations and in our supply chain. Care is a sector where exploitation of workers is a real risk, particularly in overseas recruitment, and we take that seriously.

Our commitment
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking. We expect the same standard from anyone we work with.
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing effective systems and controls to make sure slavery and trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our business.
Our people
Because our workforce is the area of highest risk, our controls sit there:
- We verify the right to work of every person we employ, and we check original documents.
- We check that every carer holds their own bank account and that pay goes to them, which is one of the commonest indicators of exploitation.
- We do not charge any worker a fee for finding them work, at any point.
- We do not withhold identity documents.
- Every carer receives a written contract and a payslip.
- Staff are trained to recognise the signs of modern slavery, in service users as well as colleagues.
